A blockchain signed post-quantum from block zero

Every transaction on quantar-testnet-2 carries two signatures from two independent families, ML-DSA-87 (lattices, FIPS 204) and SLH-DSA-SHA2-256s (hashes, FIPS 205). Both must verify. There is no ECDSA anywhere, not even as a fallback.

Try it in two minutes

  1. Download the wallet for your system from the latest release and unzip it.
    Download qtrc-wallet
  2. Create your post-quantum wallet: qtrc-wallet new
On Windows, in PowerShell: .\qtrc-wallet.exe new
  3. Get 50 testnet QTR: qtrc-wallet faucet, or paste your address at faucet.quantarnetwork.com
  4. Send some: qtrc-wallet send <address> 10. Your transaction is signed with ML-DSA-87 and SLH-DSA and lands in the next block.

What every signature costs

ML-DSA-87
4,627 B

Lattice-based, NIST FIPS 204, category 5. Verify in about 0.44 ms.

SLH-DSA-SHA2-256s
29,792 B

Hash-based, NIST FIPS 205, category 5. Security rests only on SHA-2.

HYDRA-X
AND

Both must be valid over the same domain-separated message. About 2.6 ms to verify both.

This is a testnet: a single node, no peer-to-peer networking yet, and QTR here has no monetary value. Benchmarks were measured on a Sandy Bridge i7 without AVX2. The chain may be reset when the protocol changes.
